About Us

Our company's origin began with an idea expressed by one of our restaurant clients. Essentially, he said, "Take some chicken and make chicken sausage." We listened and acquired a small meat grinder, used a medium sized cutting board and a dull home kitchen knife to debone chicken. Shortly thereafter was the birth of this incredibly delicious sausage made from locally sourced chicken--from day one. A very dear friend of the family received the first sample of the chicken sausage and said " If I didn't know better I would have thought it was made from Willie," a name meaning hog.

Later, we received a grant of Inspection from the USDA to open the first USDA -approved facility processing chicken sausage in the Southeastern US. We carefully and intentionally selected the name Best Foods meaning we demand excellence. Best Foods is an indicator and reminder that, from the start, we manufacture and create an assortment of best sausage items. We use the term "products" as a subtle encouragement to other entrepreneurial spirits to get engaged in "Best" products manufacturing of their liking. The number 11 is an acknowledgement of Religious life’s involvement for the best in us to come forward for all people to use. Church historically started in the 11th hour, symbolizing enlightenment.
